April Asaro will be hosting an acting seminar for the beginning actor/actress or anyone interested in getting into an acting career. Many people of all ages want to get into the glamorous world of show biz but don't know where to start. From The Dream To The Silver Screen Seminars will take you on a journey from your dreams step by step until you are working on a set. This free seminar will cover such subjects as getting an agent, interviews, the importance of being on time, contracts, headshots-the actors calling card, resumes, agent fees, casting calls, auditions, scams, casting directors-the gate keepers to Hollywood and many other subjects. This seminar is a must for everyone interested in acting. There will be a question and answer period. No one is too old or too young to start a career in the world of show biz. Attending this seminar will not guarantee you work.

Guest speaker will be Sherman Carmichael of Carmichael Entertainment, Parent company for Carmichael Talent, Carmichael Casting, Carmichael Locations, and Carmichael Photography.

Casting Director, now turned Producer, Maxann Crotts is coming to Florence, SC on Saturday, Sept 27th, 2008 for a very special Workshop!

 

Maxann has been a Casting Director since 1985. Some major films she has cast in some capacity are: “April Fool’s Day, Ta Ra Rum Pum, The Perfect Game,  The Mill, The Strangers, Juwanna Mann, Beyond the Wall of Sleep, O, The Fugitive, Shake Rattle and Roll, Carrie 2-The Rage, Breakfast of Champions, Blackdog, Major League-Back to the Minors, The Day Lincoln Was Shot”,  and so many MORE!!!

 

Maxann has worked with many stars, including Bruce Willis, Nick Nolte, Patrick Swayze, Vivica A. Fox, Miguel Nunez, Jr., Omar Epps and many more!

Commercials she has cast include: Coke, Nascar, ESPN, Nike, Converse, Wendy’s, KFC, Bellsouth, Jack in the Box, American Online, Hardees, Carowinds, just to name a few!

 

Now, Maxann is producing and has most recently produced the feature film, “THE MILL”, showing in 3 countries. She hired Ralph Singleton to produce, who produced “Because of Winn Dixie, Clear and Present Danger, Last Man Standing, Murder at 1600, The Jackal”, just to name a few!  Maxann has several films in development!
